The fourth of five episodes in the Lead Story series, In this video Richard Trudgen discusses lead poisoning and avgas (plane petrol) and why it is so destructive and extremely dangerous, particularly for children. It explains that by both touching and inhaling avgas children can receive up to 5 times the amount of lead poisoning than adults. It looks at the history of lead petrol, why it was phased out for cars but is still used for planes.
